Swim Angels Ltd. understands the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by users of the Swim Angels website.

Collected Information:

In order to enrol for classes, follow students’ progress and receive service emails/texts, users must register and provide certain voluntary information about themselves.  The Swim Angels staff and Square Space website collects and stores information about the Swim Angels clientele during registration.

Financial Information:

For faster payment processing, Swim Angels utilises the merchant service Stripe Cardsave.  This service securely stores all credit card information without reaching the Swim Angels server.

Use Of Information:

Swim Angels will not reveal to any third party a user’s personal information provided to us through the Swim Angels website except in the following circumstances:

  1. We need to perform banking reconciliation

  2. We are responding to subpoenas, court orders or other legal proceedings; or

  3. We sell or acquire another business, or are acquired by another business, in which case such information may be one of the business assets transferred

Third parties will not contact our users through the use of email newsletters or our email lists except through advertisements within the Swim Angels newsletters themselves.

Cookies:

Our website is created using a SquareSpace platform which uses “cookies”.  Cookies store small amounts of information on your computer or device, to allow certain information from your web browser to be collected.  Swim Angels Ltd. does not use or access this information itself.  For more information about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage, block and delete them, see www.allaboutcookies.org.  You may also be able to configure your browser not to accept cookies, although please bear in mind that this may affect your ability to use some of the services we provide.

Unsubscribing:

Registering with Swim Angels will add you to the mailing database to provide service emails about future courses and availability with Swim Angels Ltd.  Should you no longer wish to receive this information, simply email swimangelsuk@gmail.com using the address we have registered for you, or respond to any of our emails with “UNSUBSCRIBE” (unsubscribing can take up to 28 days to process).  Note that clients currently booked with us who choose to unsubscribe may also be removed from important updates about their bookings.

General:

Swim Angels is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of websites to which Swim Angels may link.  Swim Angels uses reasonable precautions to keep the personal information disclosed to us by our users secure and to disclose such information only after obtaining permission from the user (except under the circumstances discussed above).

Swim Angels is known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data provided to us.

Why we need your data We need to collect your information so we can keep you informed on our future courses, discounts and competitions

  • We store your personal information carefully.

What we do with your data We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to carry out these functions. If you notify us that you no longer wish to be listed on the database we will delete your information as soon as possible.

  • We use your data to provide information to you about our swimming lessons

  • We may use your information to contact you about how to improve our service or market future courses

  • We do not share your information with anyone unless we are required to do so by law or

  • We do not sell your information to anyone.

All the personal data we process is located on servers within the European Union.

What are your rights?

You have a right to see the information we hold on you and/or require your data to be deleted by making a request in writing to swimangelsuk@gmail.com. If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to have it corrected. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us and we will investigate the matter.

  • You can request access to your information or ask us to delete it by contacting us.

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
